Cool Mini
This is part of the CoolSculpting platform designed specifically to target the small area under the chin. Cool Mini is the least invasive way to bulk reduce fat. Most people require two rounds of cool sculpting in this area. A special applicator is placed under the chin for about an hour. During this process, the fat under the skin is destroyed by freezing. The body eventually gets rid of the fat through the lymphatic system. Results are apparent after a few weeks. The process can be repeated for further reduction. There is some redness that resolves after about an hour. Otherwise, there is absolutely no down time with this procedure.
Kybella
Deoxycholic acid is a chemical that dissolves fat. Kybella is injected under the skin and almost instantly, the fat starts to liquify. The liquid fat is slowly absorbed by the body and eliminated through the lymphatic system. The procedure takes about 15 minutes. There is some redness and sometimes significant swelling that could last for weeks. The liquified fat jiggles around until it is absorbed over time. The treatment can be repeated after a few weeks. This is the most economic option for permanently removing fat under the chin.
ThermiTight
ThermiTight is a minimally invasive procedure that will give more significant skin tightening and fat reduction than Ultherapy. A small cannula is inserted under the skin and a numbing solution is injected. A tiny probe is inserted through the same needle hole and radio frequency energy is applied to the skin and fat. This energy causes skin tightening to occur and softens the fat so that it can easily be removed with a little suction. We can achieve more significant reduction of the fat and there is less swelling than the Kybella because the fat can actually be sucked out. It usually requires only a single treatment to get significant reduction in fat and skin laxity. The swelling can last 1-2 weeks.
Liposuction
If there is a significant amount of fat, using a laser assisted liposuction technique is the most effective way to remove the fat. SmartLipo is a laser that can be inserted into the fatty area. The laser works like the ThermiTight but is more powerful. The laser energy will tighten the skin and soften the fat so that it can be removed with a mini liposuction.
Sylfirm X Radio Frequency Microneedling
Sylfirm X combines micro needling technology with radiofrequency to tighten skin, as well as address skin concerns like pigmentation, fine lines texture, etc.
Threads
Dissolvable threads are inserted under the skin with a needle to pull the skin tight. Although this treatment does not remove the fat, it will give instant tightening of the loose skin. The results will last about a year and can be repeated. The threads will stimulate collagen around it and cause improvement in skin texture as well.
